Organ transplant - pt need to understand immunosuppressive therapy as a lifelong committment
Nurse should never leave a procedural moderation sediation at bedside
patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) requires a continuous IV solution running to keep vein open to flush the PCA medication through the line
Do not insert indwelling urinary catheter for pt when not medically necessary! Can cause high risk for infection
During resuscitation efforts, family member can choose to stay in the room and a staff member should be assigned with family member to explain what is happening
Always a priority to report a suspected child abuse with fractures in young children!
